What does the Qualidator Singlepage Analyzer test/assess?

Firstly, the XHTML source text of the URL provided is validated. In other words, the synthax of the HTML used is assessed. Typical errors are speech marks that have been omitted, tags that have been left open or not used properly, attributes or values that are not permitted, etc.

The source text is then assessed for its style, i.e. it is 'qualidated'. A valid site (see paragraph above) is still not a good quality site. For instance, definitions of style should be found in the stylesheets, and not directly in die XHTML page. Another example is the title structure, which can have an impact on usability but still return a valid page. Many similar tests are carried out in this second step. By clicking on the error displayed, you will land on the specific point in the source text; a further click then takes you to the explanation.
